The conception of ZILCO Harness came about from the idea of replacing

Mike’s
internationally known horses have been the beneficiaries of Janek

Vluggen Institute, Janek is recognized as the leading expert in
the field of Equine Osteopathy. As a researcher, sought-after therapist,
and popular lecturer for over two decades, he has built a significant
following worldwide. Mike is quick to tell you “If it wasn’t
for Janek keeping the skeletal frame of my horses correct, we’d
be in bad shape. He even came to the Blakheidi where I trained in
Belgium before the 2005 World Pairs Championships in Austrai to
be sure we were all in tip top shape. I only wish he lived in Texas,
instead of just teaching the University of Texas’ masters
course in Equine Osteopathy. Not only would my horses be even better,
so would I.”
Currently, as the principal instructor for the Vluggen Institute,
Janek is dedicated to creating exemplary equine osteopaths through
intensive, interactive, and informed education and hands-on experience.
In addition to founding the Vluggen Institute, Janek has run a successful
private physical therapy and osteopathy practice in Baesweiler,
Germany (recently moved to Aachen) since 1986.
